Madinat Jumeirah has always been one of my favourite resorts. It captures some of Dubai’s most picturesque views and that Arabian magic as you walk through the souk full of trinkets. Being a 5-star resort, the souk is different to a traditional souk. You will find various designer boutiques and shops and even a vending machine that dispenses gold bars at the swipe of your credit card.
Food & Drink at Madinat Jumeirah
The Souk Madinat Jumeirah is my one stop shop, It is a great place for tourists! You can shop, dine at one of the 40 restaurants and take in the views and then hit one of the bars or clubs for a night out. I recommend The Noodle House or Trader Vic’s for a sit down dinner with a view or The Belgian Beer Cafe for a casual bite and drink. You could head on to K-Lounge for a spot of Karaoke or a night of dancing at Pacha.
Souk Madinat Jumeirah
The souk is definitely worth a wander, you will find all sorts from souvenir shops to clothes and jewellery. Of course it is over-priced being a 5-star resort, traditional souks give you bargaining power and also prices start at a fraction. If you only have a day in Dubai this is where I recommend as its pretty central unlike the other souks in Deira. It is a great spot to take photo’s and you get magnificent views of the Burj Al Arab from various locations in Madinat Jumeirah. I personally love the view from the amphitheatre and also from the bridge as you are entering the resort.
They have a beautiful annual Christmas market in December where you can see the huge Christmas tree and join in festivities. I think this place is magical and definitely worth a trip!
Here are a few of my snaps from a day out at the beautiful Madinat Jumeirah.
